What does a Maintenance Manager do?

The Maintenance Managers are responsible for the overall maintenance of business operation. They oversee all aspects of the maintenance process, from installation and upkeep to inspection and repair, often assuming a hands-on role in one or more stages of the process.

As the Maintenance Manager, they will be in charge of making sure that all machinery, systems, and equipment operate well to support production and reduce downtime. Preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and overseeing a group of maintenance workers will be their main priorities.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

Maintenance Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
